Louise Marler Spence (Chair)

Louise gained her BA (Hons) from the University of BC and her MA in Canadian Studies from Carlton University, Ottawa. She worked in Toronto for Arts Canada before moving to London in 1982 where she directed the Contemporary Art Programme at Fischer Fine Art. She has been an independent art dealer and curator in Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore and now in London. 


Eve Gabereau

Eve’s background is in film projects, from distribution and production to festivals and journalism, as well as in international communications in both the cultural and corporate spheres. She established Soda Pictures, a London based independent theatrical and DVD distributor, in 2002. The company has over 100 feature films in its catalogue including Academy Award nominee, After the Wedding; Golden Globe nominees, Balzac and The Little Chinese Seamstress; Best European Film 2004, Head On and Sundance Audience Award winner, Brothers


Kate Kagan

Kate studied Theatre Design and Television at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has worked extensively in Theatre and Television as a Stage Manager/ Assistant Director and on Feature Films as an Assistant Film Editor. Since 1988 she has been a Casting Director for Film and Television both here in the UK and the USA. While living and working in the USA she was on the Fund-raising Committee of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.   

 

Kathleen Crook

A transplanted Torontonian, Kathleen Crook has been living in London since Sept.2009. She has a background as a volunteer fundraiser, for arts, educational, environmental and social action organizations. She has also served on several Canadian boards in both a fundraising capacity and working on board governance issues. Kathleen has a passion for dance and a strong interest in the visual arts.


Rita Tushingham

Rita Tushingham has worked extensively in theatre, film, television and radio as an actress, writer and director and has received many prestigious awards. She has been a patron, trustee and fundraiser for numerous charities in the UK and Canada including Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, Paraplegic Olympics, OXFAM, NSPCC, Red Cross and Toronto Humane Society.

 

Michina Ponzone-Pope

Michina has a degree in History of Art and Architecture from the University of Torino and is presently Specialist Liaison, Jewellery Department at Sotheby's. Michina's association with Sotheby's started in 1987 in Toronto where she was Director of Client Services and subsequently Head of the Jewellery Department. In the 1980s, Michina was Assistant Director of Special Collections and Exhibits, Lands and Bible Archaeology Foundation, Royal Ontario Museum and used her multi- lingual skills to provide continuing education programmes at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She has done extensive voluntary work in the arts and education

 

Alexi Wedderburn (Administrator)

In the 1980s Alexi was Special Events Consultant to The New-York Historical Society, NYC. Since coming to London in 1990, she has been a fundraiser for the National Youth Music Theatre and in 2001 organised a year-long celebration of the Arts for the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
