Life coaching, has been in the UK for only the last 10 years so is a very new industry, so at present there is not an over seeing professional body for Life coaches.We at Evoke Coaching are campaigning for a Government regulated body to oversee the Life coaching industry. However we at Evoke Coaching have been able to obtain insurance for our Life coaches protecting you as a prospective client as well as our Life coaches. You as a prospective client should research the web, the press & ask friends and family for recommendations. Reputable coaches should never take money for the initial consultation session. The initial consultation session should be used to see if you get on with coach. The coach should also make you aware if you are not suitable for coaching & require other therapies instead of or in conjunction with Life coaching. |
